Is a hair tattoo a good idea?
For a lot of people, yeah. Receding hairline or bald spots? This handles it. No going under the knife. No pills. You come in, we do the sessions, that’s it. But don’t expect hair to grow. What happens is it looks like you buzz your head and there’s stubble. That’s the result. If you hate short hair, this ain’t it. If you’re fine with that and just want the bald spots gone, then yeah it makes sense. Cheaper than transplants by a lot. And transplants can fail anyway. This just stays put.
How long do hair tattoos last?
Depends on your skin, but most people get 3-5 years easy. It fades slow, nothing happens overnight. If you’re outside all the time, sun’s gonna fade it a bit quicker. You’ll notice it getting lighter after a few years. That’s normal. Just come back for a touch-up when that happens. One session fixes it. Way less hassle than other stuff where you’re dealing with maintenance every month or popping pills daily just to keep your hair.
Can hair grow over micropigmentation?
Yeah. Hair grows right through it no problem. The pigment sits in your top skin layer. Hair follicles are way deeper down. So if you still got follicles working in that spot, they keep growing hair like they always do. Just comes right through the pigment dots. A lot of people use this for thinning areas. Real hair mixes with the tattooed dots and everything looks fuller. Dead follicles though? Nothing grows there. But that’s where the tattoo does its thing. Looks like stubble even without real hair there.
